I used to be one of those people who thought that continuing my education was impossible due to my work responsibilities. But the flexibility of online classes was exactly what I needed in order to work toward my MBA while working full-time. Online education isn’t for everyone because it takes a little hard work and perseverance. However, it is an extremely rewarding experience that makes you grow personally. Here are four surprising takeaways from my MBA journey.
1. Doors open if you take the first step.
I’ve learned more about myself and what I can achieve by being brave enough to take the steps toward continuing my education.
2. Perseverance has positive ripple effects.
I am more confident in my abilities and much happier on a personal level because I’ve stayed the course when it would’ve been easy to give up.
3. Challenges nurture personal growth.
I found that my journey thus far has been both an enlightening and humbling experience that’s allowed me to reach my potential.
4. It's a springboard for your career.
In online learning, most professors are working professionals who apply current theories and concepts in their “classroom.” You’ll get up-to-date information on trending topics in your field of study, as well as obtain a valuable degree that will set you apart from your peers.
The hardest part of the entire process is deciding that you will commit to achieving this significant milestone. I am almost finished with my MBA and can honestly say it’s been an extremely rewarding process. Instead of thinking about what could be, at the end of the day I can look at myself in the mirror and be proud of my accomplishments. So, are you ready to make the commitment to continue your education and unleash your potential?
