Last year, Johnson & Wales University unveiled a variety of new micro-certificate programs. These streamlined, online certificates are designed to give students the opportunity to earn industry-relevant credentials without committing to a full degree program.
Well, we are excited to share that Intelligent.com named Johnson & Wales University’s online certificate programs, including the new micro-certificate options, among the top 50 accredited certificate programs for 2021! According to a statement on its website, the higher education research entity said the rankings are “based on an assessment of 1,202 accredited colleges and universities in the nation.” Each program in consideration was assessed based on quality of curriculum, reputation, graduation rate, and employment rates post-graduation.
“We are thrilled to be included in this ranking among other reputable universities,” said TC Rogers, Ed.D., director of academic programs at JWU Online. “Our certificate programs are meant to help industry professionals gain the additional skills they need without the time commitment of completing a full degree program—and it is gratifying to be recognized among the top 50 programs in the country.”
In addition to offering micro-certificates in a variety of industries, JWU offers graduate certificates in hospitality and nonprofit management, as well as a professional certificate in craft brewing.
“Higher education must be stackable,” explained Rogers. “Certificate programs allow students to develop their skills faster and foster an environment of lifelong learning.” As an added bonus, JWU’s online certificate programs are applicable to other JWU programs in case students are interested in earning a full degree.
