Welcome to the Fall 2016 Term at JWU Online!
We welcome all of our new online students who are starting their online studies with us this term and welcome back our returning students. We hope that you all had a great summer and are all set to get started or continue with your degree programs.
Here are three ways online students can succeed this term:
- Fall classes officially start on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. (You can view and download the complete 2016–2017 Academic Calendar for the Online Campus here.) Your online courses will be available to you on Saturday, September 3, so take advantage of this preview time to review your online course syllabi and plan out your 11 weeks of study in advance.
- Calendaring the major assignment due dates in each of your courses is one great way to stay on top of your academic workload.
- Another suggestion is to plan now and block out time for studying on your calendar each week.
These strategies will help make sure you keep up with the learning and are successful in your Fall courses.
We are proud to have nearly 1,000 active status students in the College of Online Education currently, and we are offering close to 190 online course sections in the Fall 2016 term, the largest number of sections ever.

We wish you all the best of luck with your studies this term. As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or issues that you need help with during the term, please reach out to your Online Academic Advisor. As dean, I am also always willing to assist you and can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 401-598-1345.
Have a great term!
