What do you like most about teaching online?
I appreciate the asynchronous collaboration that enables busy professionals from different time zones and cultures to cooperate and produce results. This medium better prepares the location independent managers of of tomorrow.
What strategies do you use to keep students engaged?
I strive to identify students’ preferred learning methods and create numerous diverse opportunities for asynchronous and live interactions.
How do you bring the industry to life in class?
As an active entrepreneur immersed in the local entrepreneurial scene, I bring real and current examples to illustrate entrepreneurship theory. My classes are often designed as experiential opportunities for students to assess the potential value of their entrepreneurial ideas, as well as rapidly prototype and test their value propositions.
Do you have any advice for prospective students?
Have fun learning. For entrepreneurs, starting a business is not an indication of success. Instead, success is more likely the acquisition tools and critical-thinking capacity to decide whether to pursue a business venture or an entrepreneurial lifestyle.
