Scott was born and raised in London. He has worked in the hotel and restaurant industry since he was 16 and is a classically trained chef. After 25 years of being in the industry, he transitioned into academia. Scott is an Adjunct Professor at Johnson & Wales University. He is also an Associate Professor of hospitality at Valencia College, and an Adjunct Professor at New England Culinary Institute and the University of Central Florida/Rosen College of Hospitality Management, where he is also a PhD student researching the relationship of pre-visit expectations and post-visit experiences as motivating factors at English wineries in building brand loyalty.
