Congratulations and welcome to Johnson & Wales University College of Professional Studies (CPS)! We are so excited for you to begin your Professional Culinary Skills certificate! We are here to support you throughout your journey and have created this Accepted Online Culinary Students page to help you get started. Here you can:

  • Review your next steps to ensure you are ready for class.
  • Find important student contacts on the resources tab.
  • Learn how to complete the mandatory orientation prior to your first class

Remember you can reach out to your dedicated admissions associate with any questions at anytime.

Now go get ’em, Wildcat!

Now that you’re officially a JWU student, it’s time to make sure you are 100-percent prepared for your first class. Your dedicated admissions associate will work with you to complete each step.

Complete Your Intent to Enroll Form

The Intent to Enroll form indicates to the university that you intend to enroll and initiates the registration and financial aid processes.

Set Up Your Wildcat Email Account

Within two business days after acceptance, you will receive detailed instructions on account set up from your admissions associate to your personal email on file—we suggest you complete this step as soon as you receive the email, as future steps depend on Wildcat email/jwuLink access.

You can also visit the New User page on jwuLink for directions on how to set up your Wildcat email account. You will need your JNumber, which will be emailed to you by your online admissions associate. For the temporary password, use the format Jwu!MMDDYYYY, where MMDDYYYY is your birthday.

Set Up Your Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)

To set up your Self-Service Password Reset, follow the SSPR registration instructions found on jwuLink. You will need your JNumber and the password that you used when setting up your Wildcat email account. Please note that IT recommends that you choose the “phone” option in the “security info” step.

Log Into jwuLink

Log in to jwuLink using your JNumber and your new password that you set up for your Wildcat email. Going forward, you can use your Wildcat email address to log in.

Register for Classes

Your admissions associate will contact you about registration after you confirm your intent to enroll.  After your first term/semester, your dedicated academic advisor Tracie Souza will be your main point of contact for registration. Please note that registration dates vary by term. For program-specific curriculum information, check the online course catalog

All accepted students are enrolled in a mandatory two-part online orientation course that must be completed. The orientation goes over navigating the online classroom, as well as important skills for all online students. To complete the orientation, follow these steps:

  • Schedule Part 1 via Zoom: Once registered for classes, your admissions associate will send you a link to schedule part 1 of your orientation, to be completed through Zoom. After part 1 is completed, you will be enrolled in Orientation Part 2, which can be accessed in uLearn.
  • Log into ulearn: Access to the orientation is in ulearn. You should access the orientation on a laptop or desktop and not on a phone. Please note, Chromebooks are not compatible with the orientation. Directions to create your student account and log into ulearn will be in a previously-sent email.
  • Complete all six (6) modules: Please note that orientation should not take more than 2 hours total. Although it does not need to be completed in one sitting, it does need to be completed prior to your first course.

Here are a few resources you may need as you begin your time with the College of Professional Studies.
