At Johnson & Wales, we offer the support and guidance you need to complete your education. As an online student, you’ll benefit from a variety of academic resources, including academic advising, tutoring and study resources, registration, and accommodations.
YOUR DEDICATED ADVISOR
After being accepted to JWU, you’ll be assigned an online academic advisor who will work with you through graduation. Your advisor will:
- Serve as a guide to help you meet your academic goals
- Assist you in learning how to navigate the ulearn online classroom
- Discuss strategies to help you get the most out of your courses
- Help you relate your coursework to career goals
- Direct you to the appropriate resources at JWU
- Serve as a single point of contact for all of your questions and concerns
Your online academic advisor will reach out to you throughout your time at JWU, but if you need to contact them directly:
*Offices are closed on Friday during the summer months (mid-May-early August)
ACADEMIC TUTORING
Need help outside of class? We offer 24/7 professional tutoring through tutor.com. There, you can speak with real online educators to help you with any assignment you may be having difficulty with.
Tutor.com is accessed through links in jwuLink and ulearn.
Writing support
Good writing skills are critical for success in today’s work environments. At Johnson & Wales University’s College of Professional Studies, we provide online students with the support necessary to develop appropriate writing skills that contribute to their success, both in coursework and their careers. Our CPS Writing Support team can help you with proofing your papers and improving your general writing skills.
Quantitative Support
We understand that mathematics may not be a strong area of focus for some of out students. For those that need additional support with math, accounting, finance, or Excel, our CPS Quantitative Specialists are available to assist you.
SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS NEEDING ACCOMMODATIONS
