What do you like most about teaching online?
The students and I can learn about each other regardless of the physical separation of the members of the class. It is very fulfilling to follow the progress students make with the online technology and this style of learning.
What strategies do you use to keep students engaged?
I encourage students to communicate with other member of the class, share experiences and positions regarding their professional and academic life. The “case study” method of current issues and events is an integral part of the class and the learning process.
How do you bring the industry to life in class?
In my classes, students investigate and present real-life industry scenarios, and I share my own industry experiences. Students also have to read/present current industry trends and events.
Do you have any advice for prospective students?
Be curious and creative. Have self-discipline and adhere to due dates. Ask questions — and be happy!
