2. Flexible Online Format

Deciding to pursue a graduate degree while navigating work, family and other personal commitments can be challenging. “Our programs are fully 100% online and are asynchronous, which means that students can complete their coursework on their own schedule, as long as they are submitting assignments by the listed due dates on their syllabi,” notes Ashley Slattery, Admissions Associate Team Lead. “It’s a great option for students who are working full time, have families, and other activities due to that flexibility.” At JWU Online, our programs are designed to fit in with your schedule.

“The online master’s program was flexible enough for me to be able to give my son the time that he needed, even while working and going to school.” ~ Emmeline Orellana, ’24

3. Academic Support

From the application process through commencement and beyond, we’re here to support you. Slattery states, “Our admissions associates work with our applicants every step of the way through the application process. They are knowledgeable about the programs and requirements for admission. We try to make it a seamless transition from your undergraduate program to a graduate program!” Our admissions team can help answer questions about earning a degree online, transfer credits, financial aid and more!

We offer the same supportive student services as our on-ground campuses. Tailored for online students, these services are designed to help support students throughout their courses. This includes:

  • Academic Resources – Includes your dedicated academic advisor, tutoring, quantitative support and more
  • Technical Resources – Assistance with ulearn, our online learning course platform, computer & browser requirements and technical support from our IT team
  • Career Resources – Internship programs, interview preparation, resume assistance and more
  • Writing Support – Get assistance with any stage of the writing process from outlining and organizing, drafting, revising and citation formatting

“Thanks to the wonderful staff and faculty, my very asynchronous academic life online felt as in-sync with on-campus life as possible. I have been cheered on, every step of the way. I could not have done this without the support from everyone at JWU — staff, faculty, mentors, advisors, peers, and even Wildcat Willie. JWU has truly changed me for the better and I could not be more thankful.” ~ Dasan Orlich, ’25
