People are always looking for discounts, especially students. In case you didn't know, online students also can earn student discounts.

No matter if you are learning in the classroom or online, there are various stores, shops, and restaurants that give you a financial “high-five” for your motivation in your studies. Student discounts are one of the fantastic benefits of being a student (next to the actual education, of course). Here are some great places that reward your hard work at school with student-exclusive savings.

Technology

Apple

Apple Education Pricing allows students (their parents, too), faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels to get the technology their need at a discounted price. Look for these great discounts for Apple laptops, desktop computers, and iPads.

Cell Phone Plans

Cell phone providers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint have different student discount options. Some require that your university have an affiliation with the company, and others just involve your student email address. Check out each plan to see which is the best deal for you.

Dell

Through Dell’s “Dell University” purchase program, students with a valid .edu email address will qualify for a Dell $100 Promo eGift card on all systems over $499. Students will also receive insight on exclusive discounts and a 30-day price match guarantee.

Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus

Many universities, like Johnson & Wales, offer the latest Microsoft Office updates to all students, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote free of charge! Through your JWU login, you can install the world’s most popular productivity software on up to five different computers.

Banking

Student Checking Accounts

College can be the first time that students are financially on their own. Banks know this, and they want to make this transition as easy and simple as possible for you. Most banks including Chase, Bank of America, US Bank, and TD offer checking account discounts and perks to college students.

Automobiles

Insurance

Want to get rewarded for your hard work and good grades in college? Many car insurance companies such as Farmers Insurance and Allstate offer discounts to university students with high GPAs. Keep those grades up and save money at the same time!

Fashion

TopShop & ASOS

By just signing up with your .edu email address, you will receive a student code to get 10 percent off of your purchases until you graduate. Many fashion retailers have discounts just for college students, so next time you’re shopping in the mall with your friends, make sure to ask the cashier if flashing your student ID will get you any special deals.

Miscellaneous

Amazon

Free shipping is just one of the many perks of an Amazon Prime Student membership. As a Prime Student member, you will have a discounted membership price of just $6.49/month, plus you will also have access to thousands of movies and TV Shows at no additional cost! Not to mention that there is a six-month free trial! Take advantage of these great benefits by signing up with your university email and confirming your expected graduation date.

Movie Theaters

Need a relaxing break once finals are done for the academic year? Don’t forget your student ID card when you pull up to your local movie theater because they might have a special just for students! Most movie theaters offer student discounts on certain days of the week, so make sure to do your research and find out when you can get the best deal.

Museums

No matter if you are living in Providence, Rhode Island, or Los Angeles, California, most local museums will give you a discounted admissions price when you flash your student ID card. Museums like the RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) Museum or LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) will give those with a student ID card a discounted admissions price.

Spotify/Hulu Bundle

For $4.99/month, there is nothing better than this deal. By registering with your university email address and confirming your expected graduation date, you can receive all of the benefits of a Spotify Premium account while also getting access to the Hulu Limited Commercials plan.

UNIDAYS

Just by simply creating an account and verifying the university that you attend, you will have access to discounts for stores ranging from fashion to lifestyle to technology. No matter if you are looking to purchase a new phone right before graduation or a dress that you have been eyeing for weeks, UNIDAYS has it all for a price that can’t be beat!
