Johnson & Wales University is pleased to announce that Chipotle Mexican Grill is the most recent company to offer JWU programs to their employees through Guild Education. The collaboration between Chipotle, Guild and JWU will provide a free college education to thousands of Chipotle employees and make it possible for Chipotle’s hourly team members and salaried administrative staff to pursue an online bachelor’s degree from JWU in several disciplines including culinary arts and hospitality.
Through this work with JWU and Guild, Chipotle says it will be able to “bring associate and bachelors’ culinary arts degrees online, as well as an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Food Industry Compliance Management” and other innovative degree programs. The associate degree program in culinary arts will give students hands-on opportunities for developing their culinary skills through experiential education components.
‘It’s great that a company as innovative in the foodservice space as Chipotle recognizes JWU’s worldwide brand in culinary and hospitality,” JWU business development specialist Angelo Pitassi said. “We are excited to deliver our acclaimed education in an online format to benefit their employees through Guild.”
Chipotle now joins over a dozen other companies who are giving back to their employees with education benefits through JWU.
