August 2023 Update: Johnson & Wales University enjoyed an incredibly fruitful 5-year partnership as the Official Education Partner of TD Garden and the Boston Bruins. This partnership officially ended in June 2023.
Ask any Delaware North employee or Johnson & Wales University student or alumni how to be successful and their replies can be summarized into one word: momentum. Whether it’s moving forward on the ice, in the classroom, or in their careers, they work hard, innovate, create, and repeat until the goal is achieved. This shared focus on forward-thinking is one reason that JWU was recently named the Official Education Partner of the Boston Bruins and TD Garden.
Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Boston Bruins/TD Garden Brent Dassatti said, “After discussion with Delaware North SportService General Manager Tim Townsell and Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Chris Johnson, when we looked at our organization and realized how many leaders were JWU alumni, it only made sense to invest in a way for current associates to tap into the very same exceptional education.”
“This partnership speaks to innovation,” said Corporate Business Specialist for the JWU College of Online Education Angelo Pitassi. “Whether we are talking about how the experts at JWU can contribute to the discussion on nutrition’s role in the athlete of the future, our students working to solve real problems at a world-class arena like TD Garden, or JWU’s ability to provide an exceptional education that is flexible and affordable, we came together to win … for our students and their employees!”
Maximizing Educational Opportunities
The partnership also extends to the more than 50,000 Delaware North employees around the world. Delaware North not only owns and operates TD Garden, but is a global force in the arena of sports, entertainment, and event management.
